Best Documentary - Hawaii International Film Festival. Surfing for Life tells the inspirational stories of 10 extraordinary men and women between the ages of 60 and 93, all of whom share a bond: their love of surfing. Surfing for Life interweaves the life stories of these vital and healthy elders through contemporary day-in-the-life and surfing footage, interviews, with a wealth of superb archival material including movie clips and images by some of the worlds finest early surf filmmakers and photographers who captured the dawn of surfing culture in California and Hawaii. The "Sport of Kings" is portrayed as a uniquely powerful metaphor for passionate involvement and for the possibilities for all of us as we grow older. Among the legendary surfers profiled in the film are John "Doc" Ball (93), Woody Brown (88), Leroy Grannis (82), Eve Fletcher (73) and Rabbit Kekai (79). Co-Producer - Pedro Point Surf Club
